Hawkins pitches CC Carroll to state title

ROUND ROCK — Courtney Hawkins gave up two runs, neither earned, on 10 hits to give Corpus Christi Carroll a 5-2 win over Klein for the Class 5A state championship.
Chris Cano was 2-for-4 and batted in two runs for Carroll (37-7). Jason Franco also had two RBIs.
Rob Tasin went 1-for-3 with an RBI for Klein (33-7).
Hawkins (10-1) struck out six and walked one. Mike West (8-2) took the loss, giving up one earned run on five hits.
