Golf stars to hit the links
Comments 0 | Recommend 0WESLACO - The inaugural Rio Grande Valley Golf Coaches Association All-Star Showcase tees off at 8 a.m. today at Tierra Santa Golf Course.
The tournament is for seniors only. Some of the boys players scheduled to play include Edcouch-Elsa's Mike Rios, Nathaniel De Leon and Matthew Caceres, Weslaco High's Michael Menchaca and Dither Castro and Edinburg High's Adam Haley. For the girls, Lyssa Castillo of Mission High will participate, as will Janet de la Cerda of Mercedes and Krystal Garza of Brownsville Lopez.
Format is nine holes of select drive, one low ball, then nine holes alternate shot, then the final nine holes are a scramble.
