Edinburg High wins twice in 7-on-7 tournament

COLLEGE STATION — After going 2-1 during the first day of the state 7-on-7 tournament, the Edinburg High Bobcats repeated the feat by winning two of three in the Division I consolation bracket on Saturday. The Bobcats defeated Collins 27-20 and Stony Point 35-25 before falling to Cinco 32-20 in the consolation quarterfinals.
PSJA Memorial, which went 0-3 on Friday, was eliminated in the first round of the consolation bracket with a 38-0 loss to Stony Point.
The Division I championship was claimed by Lake Travis, which beat DeSoto 42-39.
