Moreno, Lyford go to air to drop Hebbronville
LYFORD 21, HEBBRONVILLE 8: At Hebbronville, Lyford got two touchdown passes from C.J. Moreno as they took down the Hebbronville Longhorns.
The young Bulldogs (1-0) showed some flashes but still have plenty of room for improvement.
“We showed some growing pains tonight,” Lyford head coach Jaime Infante said. “But the good news is we won the game and we’re better than we were two weeks ago at our scrimmage. So we’re just gonna try to keep getting better every week.”
Moreno threw 32-yard scoring pass to Edward Castillo and a 29-yarder to David Chavez. Running back Jacob Esparza scored on a three-yard run for Lyford.
