West against gets best of East in RGV All-Star softball game

MISSION --- The West defeated the East 9-6 on Saturday night during the fourth annual Rio Grande Valley East-West All-Star Senior Showcase at Sharyland High School. The West now leads the all-time series 3-1.

PSJA North's Roxanne Rodriguez earned team MVP honors for the West. Kory Flores, who went 3-for-4, was named MVP for the East squad. Flores is a former Brownsville Porter standout.

All-Valley MVP Jennifer Garcia of Harlingen High received mound time for the East squad.
