MISSION - A Sharyland (9-0, 6-0) win over Palmview (3-6, 1-5) will give the Rattlers their first outright district championship as a Class 5A school. They clinched at least a share with a win over McAllen Memorial last week.

There is also history on the line.

The last time Sharyland won 10 games during the regular season was in 1989 as a Class 3A squad. The best regular season since ’89 was in 2002 and 2003 when the Rattlers went 9-1.
